Gangnam Suncity Guesthouse

Easy to find and excellent location

The property is only a two minute walk from the Metro. It's an excellent location for Lexis Korea language school in Gangnam. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's very quiet.

I couldn't work out how to use the AC so it was very hot.

So nice and the area is very good.

The staff was helpful and quick with my check-in.

I had to leave the room the very next morning and got myself a new hotel. (I didn't bother to ask for a change of room cos I reckon all the rooms are in similar condition.) I had a very quick check-in at 3pm and didn't check the room much before I leave for my errands. When I return in the evening, I realised the room was not clean at all. It was damped, and the wallpaper was coming off because of the humidity. Underneath the door was damped where paper was used to cover the mould(?). I didn't realise it's a wet toilet as well. The walls of the room are very thin where I can hear everything in the corridor. The AC was quite loud too. I am unable to sleep until 5am in the morning... I have no idea why this hotel is being rated with such a high rank.

Very clean. Fresh linen. Double Room is perfect size for me as a solo traveller. Staff was sweet, polite and very accommodating. Location close to Sinsa Station was perfect for me because away from the touristy places. Every place was easily reached by subway or on foot. However someone wanting a touristy immersion might prefer a different location.

I'm a softie so I prefer a softer bed however the bed provided is typical firm Korean. This is not a problem though because I expected it.

Very affordable, also very clean and quite.
