Hotel Mariya International Bodh Gaya

I thought the food was exceptional, the staff was incredibly helpful, the was WiFi very fast, but it's a little far outside of town. Also the power goes off every so often but comes right back on.

They had construction going on the unfinished 3rd floor during the day and evenings

The room was large, very clean and worth the price even though you can't reach temples area by feet

The staff are not helpful. I booked with them via Booking, and when I arrived at 5am , they delayed me for a while they gave me the room even though most of the rooms were empty. In the morning I asked the employee how to go to the temples and he said I will take you in my car. When we arrived, a rickshaw was waiting for us. He had called him and agreed with him to take me on a tour for a very high price without my knowledge, but I refused and left them. At noon, the receptionist called me saying that I had to check out at 3 pm because I came early today !!! or i must pay an additional amount !!!even though I paid for a full night. It was an acts of exploitation and greed as I am a foreigner.

Nothing really. Still under development.

No lift facilities. Too far from the main road and far from visiting places. Rooms are not great. Didn’t get hot water in some rooms. Broken kettle. Plug points don’t work.
