Mawimbi Boutique Hotel

Honestly this is one of the best hotels we ever stayed in. First and foremost, the amazing and friendly staff has to be pointed out. But secondly, the location, the beach, the room, the facilities... Everything is just perfect. It literally feels like living in a movie scene. From comfortable sun beds to a bonfire at the beach during sunset, this hotel has it all. Even though we love trying out new restaurants, we only ate in the hotel restaurant the entire stay because it was that good. Peak time is in the morning, when beach club visitors are not yet there and the beach is empty. We will surely come back and have recommended this place to every other Mexico traveller we met so far!

The property is stunning. It's on a gorgeous part of the beach but close enough to town to easily walk wherever you need to go. The rooms are clean and well designed and the restaurant is delicious. The staff is friendly and make you feel like family. I can't wait to go back.

The hotel is fantastic!! The photos you see are exactly how it appears and the staff are SO warm and friendly. It is small and boutique and not overcrowded. We were staying here as an extra day added on before going to Casa las tortugas next door. While Casa las tortugas is pricier, Mawimbi was definitely the premier hotel in our view. The experience was much more personal, less crowded, better food and service, better day beds and lounge facilities. If I’d have known how nice it would be we would have stayed the whole time. Choose this one over Tortugas if picking. We intend on coming back!! Stay was perfection, thank you hotel Mawimbe!

Hotel Mawimbi is paradise! It is in the best location with stunning beachfront views. The staff are wonderful and the drinks are excellent. We will be back!

Nothing to dislike about this beautiful place!

The location was breathtaking. The ambiance was rustic but chic and the details were very much appreciated and the vibe beautiful. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding and we ended up eating in more than we would do ordinarily. We would definitely like to return.

Nothing to say here. Being picky - maybe a few more hooks in the room (we had the cheapest) as there isn't anywhere outside to hang things to dry. My husband would've liked to have made tea in the room.

All staff except the manager were fantastic. The location is wonderful. Beautiful grounds and beach lounging area.

Everything was wonderful until an unfortunate exchange with the hotel manager over a last minute cancellation of our airport transportation which was out of our control. We paid in full for the cancelled transportation and yet the manager was extremely rude to us. We also did not like how he treated his staff, one of whom was very ill and should not have been working. While she worked hard, he smoked on the beach and socialized with guests. So to then see him interrupt her and mansplain her was just too much for us. Get rid of Gabriel and we’ll be back again and again!
