The staff was super unfriendly, and it seemed like they wished we would go elsewhere. The aircon was not working properly and just blew air ( but not cold). It is overpriced for what is offered.

USUSNLThe information on booking.com is inaccurate. Most facilities (tv, breakfast, English speaking staff) are not present. They said AC is available if you pay double the booking.com price. The hotel is not very clean, also many bugs inside.
PL-clean rooms; -italian restaurant just next doors; -10 min walk to Plaza Central, 15 min to the pier; -one of cheapest place to find on Booking.com in San Carlos, as most local hotels are not on this website;
-hotel in the middle of nowhere, at the end of the street; -strange poor informations about everything in hotel and the neighborhood, even if I speek spanish perfectly; -during weekends quite loudly- lots of local people in the pizzera;
CAA decent option in San Carlos. We arrived in the later afternoon too late to take the boat to El Castillo so this was a short stay, just until we could get the boat the next morning. We could walk from here to several restaurants and also to the port.
San Carlos did not have a nice vibe.
GBWe had the most expensive option with AC. We had hit water. We had a bed with linen. We had AC and we had parking. The difficulty in reviewing places like this is that they suffer from border/ middle of nowhere town syndrome in as much as the prices are vastly inflated as compared to more touristic places in the country and the product is vastly inferior. It's a question perhaps if beggars can't be choosers. It would not be possible to recommend this place without these comments. As long as you know what you're getting....
It would have been nice to have a smile from the owners - it really doesn't crack your face. Occasionally washing the floor of the Cabana would be good too. There were zero facilities for a Cabana as one would expect cooking wise. A blanket without decades of dust would also have been good. But we had a parking place, hot water and a bed with clean linen.
