The only positives were the cleaners, staff, and facilities, which were excellent. The service we received was friendly and professional throughout our stay, and we truly appreciate their efforts.

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing and certainly not worth the price we paid. We travelled specifically for the Comrades Marathon and, sadly, did not get the rest we needed. This was our third year staying in the area, and we have never had an experience like this before. It is especially disappointing because we paid significantly more than in previous years, yet received the poorest accommodation we have experienced. To make matters worse, I booked three units for our group. Our unit was considerably more expensive than the other two, yet it was by far the worst. The other units were neat, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with additional amenities such as an air fryer and other conveniences for guests. Our unit, despite costing more, felt neglected, outdated, and lacking in comparison. The accommodation is old, outdated, and clearly not well maintained. Glasses in the unit were cracked, the doors did not close properly, and the overall condition of the property felt neglected. The duvet in the main bedroom was too small for the bed and did not fit properly, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The TV quality was also shocking. For the price charged, we expected a much higher standard. The accommodation simply does not offer value for money. The only positives were the cleaners, staff, and facilities, which were excellent. However, despite the wonderful staff and facilities, the condition and quality of the accommodation were unacceptable. We left feeling extremely disappointed and saddened by the experience. Paying the highest rate out of our group and receiving the lowest standard of accommodation made the experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again and cannot recommend it at the current price point.

The apartment was unsafe - there was a huge crack in the glass backsplash in the kitchen which someone had stuck a clear sticky tape over. the duvet was lumpy. There was no where to work from. There was a dining room table - but no power point. I got food poisoning from a meal ordered from the Reef Cafe in the Breakers. The Breakers accedpted no responsibility as they noted that the booking was private - this was not communicated. the area was extremely noisy at night - not sure if it was coming from the unit next door or above. The TV reception was dreadful.
