DEThis homestay in Hiriketiya was hands down the best and cleanest room I had during my solo travels in southern Sri Lanka. The location is amazing, just a short walk to everything you need—beach, food, shops. The room was simple but spotless, with a great view and a peaceful vibe. It’s not fancy, but it’s excellent value for money. Booking was super easy, and everything went smoothly. Highly recommended for solo travelers or anyone looking for a quiet, well-kept place in a top location.
HUMy room at Ladina Homestay was small, but clean and comfortable. I liked the bathroom, it was spacious and had good water pressure. On a warmer night the fan was totally enough. The WiFi was a bit on and off, but it didn’t bother me much. The location is nice, both beaches are easy to walk to, and are great eateries close by for a reasonable price. It is a quiet area, a bit further from the busy part of Hiriketiya road. There’s a communal are in front of the rooms, but it is not a very social place. I barely had any contact with the hosts, but they were kind and respectful when I checked in.
It would be great to have a sign on the house (there’s a sign on the main road though), but they responded to my call quickly.
