The isolation and the beauty of the spot was just what we wanted, the pool was wonderfully clean and the villa was more than large enough for us and our daughter.

It’s a very new property so development is still ongoing, access to the property is down a track that some drivers may not be willing to drive down, Fine for a Tultuk tho. The isolation of this property has its down sides, no bottled fluids are sold on site I.e. bottled water and the breakfast/dinners are over priced in comparison to elsewhere on the island. (2500/3000).

The place was very peaceful and just the place we wanted. Clean, beautiful and a very well maintained property. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly, polite and went out of their way to make us comfortable.

The only thing that a slight inconvenience was the fact that it was far from Dambulla, and I say this because when we were there, there was a fuel crisis, otherwise that wouldn't have been an issue either.

Villa Mankani is an exceptional eco-concept villa in Dambulla, offering a spacious environment perfect for relaxation. It is conveniently located near Dambulla city and the main road, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing family holiday. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Mr. Nalin, the manager, and Mr. Binura were always willing to help throughout our stay. The villa features a beautiful pool and a lovely garden filled with mango trees. We particularly enjoyed the fresh mangoes and delicious mango juice provided during our visit. The rooms are comfortable and consistently follow the eco-concept with wonderful lighting. We highly recommend this location for nature lovers. It is very close to the Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, though it is a bit further from Pidurangala Rock. The breakfast was a highlight as it was especially tasty.

While Villa Mankani embraces a beautiful eco-concept, there are several areas that require attention to improve the guest experience. The rooms currently lack proper curtains to cover the windows, which feels uncomfortable, especially at night. Even within an eco-concept, guests need the ability to close off their room completely for privacy, as it currently feels too open to the outside. Another significant issue is the lack of mobile service. While the villa offers Wi-Fi, the signal is unfortunately too weak to be usable in the rooms. Safety and maintenance are also concerns. The bathrooms have windows that do not close, and because the property is located so close to the jungle, insects and snakes could easily enter the washroom and the living space. The rooms need to be properly sealed, as there are noticeable gaps at the bottom of the doors. Addressing these privacy and security points would greatly enhance the stay for future visitors

The rooms are located in a natural surro unding, its beautiful and special. The staff is very kind and helpfull.

Very spacious and modern place a bit out of main road in the mango fields. Peaceful and truly lovely. Everything was clean and stuff were super nice. They provided the most amazing dinner and lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying there and also ordering dinner!

Wifi sometimes work and sometimes not, but this is due to the fact that you are in the middle of the jungle. Also it would be nice to have a hot water in the shower but I guess it is normal in Srilanka not to have hot shower. However those are just minor remarks and we would for sure once again stay here, without a doubt.
