"Lovely Homestead Stay"

Everything. Far exceeded my expectations. Grand house with gardens to match - think NZ version of a stately house! Very interesting collection of historic vehicles and agricultural equipment in a barn. Owners very welcoming and we all enjoyed a chat over a cup of T.

Pulling the ancient historic toilet cisterns was a challenge but got there in the end. It is not as if you can just drop in to Mitre10 to get replacement parts for a system that may be well over 100 years old - so didn't want to pull too hard. But honestly this is a 10 out of 10 property.

"Een heerlijk verblijf in een prachtig historisch gebouw."

De vriendelijkheid en de persoonlijke benadering sprak ons erg aan. Het huis is waanzinnig mooi, het is doordrenkt met geschiedenis. Wij werden ontvangen met een kopje thee en lemmon cake om daarna elkaar een beetje te leren kennen. Wat een heerlijke mensen!

Beautiful home!! You can wander around the property. The home also features gorgeous furniture dated way back. Lovely rooms. Be careful to pick a room with your own bathroom. The owners are a lovely accommodating couple Breakfast was cooked for us. Eaten in their lovely dinning room. Superb

Staff were so accommodating, even went out their way to get me vegan sausages for breakfast as I asked if there was any dairy/meat free options. Went above and beyond! Thank you so much!

The amazing historic site of the residence. The lovely owners who went out of their way to welcome me, chatting over tea and muffins. The place was amazing.

I only had one night, would've loved to stay longer.

It was such a stunning home stay. Elizabeth and Robin were the most incredible hosts. It really was like stepping back in time to enjoy this historic house. Great high quality bedding and sheets.

I really liked the hosts, they are lovely people who really go the extra mile to look after their guests, we really appreciated that. I also like the accommodation, it was a wonderful experience to stay in a home that has kept its original character. The home is in a beautiful setting and is so peaceful.
