Everything was made with love

if you’re interested in real sri lanka's daily life and culture; minu home would be a good choice. this tranquil neighborhood is 15-20 minutes away from the seaside and center by walk. on the road you can see a few temples, a cricket stadium and daily scenes of village life. there are plenty of small shops around for your basic needs. surprisingly, the best restaurant of the town (akila’s kitchen) located at next street! this humble studio is next door of the host family who would always answer your questions with a smiley face. every corner of the space is super clean, nice and simple, full of little sweet details that makes you feel homey. the kitchen equipped enough. the bathroom is brand new. thanks to minu family for making this small stay unique.

at the same garden there's another studio belongs to minu family which was empty till my check out day, though haven't bother me. think that should be mentioned on booking. cause i would not want to share the same garden with a family with small kids.

The hosts are so friendly! And the rooms look very nice! Clean shower! Can absolutely recommend this place.

Usually that doesn’t matter to me but it was just too hot, there is no AC, and the fan didn’t help much. Also there are mosquitos, but there is a net for the bed which is great.

In my month in Sri Lanka this is by far my favourite place I stayed. My five nights here were amazing and by the end it felt like home. The room is clean, spacious and wonderfully decorated with everything you need. Including a well kept kitchen with all the facilities to make yourself a hot drink or cook something to eat. And a little outdoor seating area. I felt super safe in this very peaceful environment. The host and her famiy are so kind and accommodating, making sure I was happy, had everything I needed and helped me with travel arrangements. What a wonderful family they were! The location is in a peaceful area with Weligama beach, jungle beach and coconut beach all close by. There are also some lovely local and more affordable restaurants within walking distance.

Wauw where to start.. minu is the best Homestay I ever stayed in, it has absolutely everything you need. You have privacy , you can cook , you have you’re own bathroom and everything is very clean. The family does a amazing job being hostess. They make sure everything runs well and help you with whatever you need. I stayed for a long time because it feels like home. And the garden and neighborhood is very very peaceful. All in all the best place to stay :)

I liked everything

Lovely property that provided a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The room was nice and spacious, with the added convenience of an attached kitchen, which made it feel like a home away from home. It was the perfect setup for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly helpful and polite, always available to assist with anything we needed and ensuring that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The location was ideal - away from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a peaceful atmosphere, yet still close enough to the beach for easy access. Overall, it was a nice and cozy stay, providing the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet retreat with great hospitality and a comfortable setting.

I had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment! It is cozy and you have everything you need. Everything is clean and has a nice interior design and outside is a very quiet and a nice view im the garden. The owners are so helpful and very nice and always keep an eye of my well being. Thank you for everything, you are doing a very good job! I enjoyed it a lot 😃❤️

I had a really great time in Minu Homestay. The place was very beautiful, clean, quiet and the owner was so nice, helpful and cute. She helped me with transport, all of my questions, train tickets, restaurant recommendations and she also cleaned the room amazingly free of charge, dropped me to a restaurant for free and she washed my clothes for a very small fee. I really enjoyed staying here and I can only recommend the place. Perfect for solo travelers or couples, especially on a budget as you can cook something in your room. You have a little gas cooker, a fridge and all the necessary utensils. I would love to come back.
