Majentra Ella

This was a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka and one of our favourite places we stayed. The views from here are amazing, unrivalled from anywhere else we visited. A bit of luxury and exclusivity that we were ready for, it’s very peaceful and the staff were wonderful. Especially Dilukshan who was very friendly and did everything he could to ensure our stay was fantastic. Would definitely recommend the cinnamon experience, very interesting and fun. Food was delicious.

This isn’t a criticism but it does feel expensive compared with other places and food but I can understand why, it feels very exclusive.

The best views in Ella! Really was exceptional sat on the balcony or having dinner in the restaurant. Staff were amazing and attentive. Nothing was too much bother. Lovely pool and we had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon.

The only thing that was a little annoying which is totally out of the hotels control was that the hotel was down a very bumpy lane off the main road that a lot of tuk tuks were not as keen to go down or would charge a bit more. The hotel were great and pick you up in a shuttle van and drop you to the main road but it was a little more inconvenient. Not really too much of a problem for us .

Thank you to all the fantastic staff at majentra! Everyone was so attentive and always went above and beyond to ensure we had a magical stay. A special mention to Dilukshan who made our experience even more special, the chefs are phenomenal and the food was a huge highlight. The cooking class and cinnamon experience is a must! We absolutely loved it. The place itself is stunning, very secluded away from Ella town but worth the extra travel to get there in every way. We left so happy. We can’t wait to come back.
