Amazing views, staff were lovely, Hotel feels really special

The hotel is a long way from Ella, which is necessary to get the isolation. Some details need to be worked on to make it feel extra special though, just a few touches let it down

Excellent food and service. Loved the rooms and facilities they have. One of the best hotel we stayed in Sri Lanka. Exceptionally good staff and Very beautiful view from all of our rooms. Family friendly.

Die Aussicht des Hotels ist wahrscheinlich kaum zu übertreffen. Es ist absolut magisch diesen weiten Blick zu haben und die Ruhe zu spüren. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und gemütlich eingerichtet (uns persönlich war es etwas zu viel dunkles Holz) und es ist grandios mit so einem tollen Ausblick zu duschen :)

Wir wussten zwar, dass das Hotel etwas außerhalb ist, aber er war doch deutlich weiter entfernt als gedacht. Die letzten 15min zum Hotel sind leider ohne befestigte Straße zu bewältigen und daher wird der Weg sehr beschwerlich. Man kann ihn mit dem TukTuk zurücklegen, doch wird man sehr durchgeschaukelt und es ist ein unangenehmer Weg. Man muss min. 30-40Min Fahrt nach Ella einplanen und das war doch etwas nervig bei der Tagesplanung. Wir fanden das Frühstück etwas zu teuer im Vergleich zu den Optionen in der Stadt. Wir haben einmal im Hotel zu Abend gegessen und war Essen war in Ordnung, aber auch nichts besonderes. Wir würden empfehlen lieber eine kleinere Karte anzubieten, damit man sich etwas spezialisieren und fokussieren kann.

The view from the balconies and the well kept garden were the highlights of the stay. The room was spacious and the bathroom offered strong water pressure, hot water, and even a nice view. The small pool area added a pleasant touch.

Many aspects did not meet expectations for the price category. The restaurant felt like a cafeteria, with unappealing food presentation, no table decoration, and service that was neutral at best. Loud kitchen noise and staff conversations were distracting. Breakfast quality was mediocre and limited to five preset options, with only basic coffee available. The room showed signs of wear, including a malfunctioning toilet flush, a broken toilet paper holder, and a safe that could not be locked despite reporting it. Housekeeping was inconsistent and required placing a sign outside, which was never communicated at check-in. Cleanliness did not meet the standard expected. The hotel is located far from the main road, accessible only via a difficult track. The shuttle vehicle used was in very poor condition.
