Pidurangala View Treehouse

The location is beautiful, with excellent views of Pidurangala rock. Our host and his family were very friendly and helpful. The traditional home cooked food made for us was excellent with very generous portions provided for breakfast and dinner. Our host offered to drop us off at both Lions Rock and Pidurangala Rock in his TukTuk both mornings of our stay. The treehouse was really clean and relaxing, with a big comfortable bed, mosquito net and a very powerful fan that allowed us to get good sleep despite the heat. The bathroom is very unique and probably our favourite part of the accomm - a walled outdoor toilet and shower with nice plants around that made it feel like a garden. Thanks to Duwinda and his family for a memorable experience.

The WiFi is very weak to non-existent, but you don’t stay in a treehouse in the jungle to get good internet!

Wonderful location and hosts. These are hard working people that are doing their best to make people feel welcome and comfortable. Both of which I did.

The internet -even off of my local e-sim was a little bit ineffective because Pidarangala blocks the signal.

This treehouse and everything that comes with it was just incredible. We cant imagine better first days in Sri Lanka (nothing can beat this place after we experienced it). Location, surrounding nature and its sounds at night - I haven never slept this good ever in my life. On top of that, the family that owns this place really made us feel at home, their two little girls Dewni and Nethu that spoke beautiful english kept us company and it was fun to be around them. If you love dogs, this place was heaven on earth, they have 5 lovely dogs and one of them little puppy Maxi, we miss all of them already. And last thing - the homemade food - super delicious, the beast we had in Sri Lanka. When we told them we expect a baby, they took care of me as if I was their family member, always made sure I had plenty of food and when driving us to the city with tuktuk, they made sure we hit no bumps on the rode. The best location ever with great view on pidurangula rock. The treehouse i also really awesome and they were really friendly. Would definitely recommend the treehouse!

Duminda and his family are truly exceptional hosts. They really cared about us with love. The breakfast was one of a kind with a great variety of different local food. The mountain view was unique, the treehouse was spacious and the shower inside the house with no ceiling was sg. I never had before: it really felt like in the jungle but with the perfect privacy.

Family was so great and helpful. They arranged breakfasts and dinners for us. Also they helped with getting around Sigiriya. Lovely family!

Wi-Fi does not work and Also the Sri Lankan SIM card did not get any Reception there. It is quite cold and moist inside and only a sheet there for two people. Would have wished a cleaner bed and mosquito net that would not have small holes in it. Make sure you understand that the shower does not provide any warm water.
