Pidurangala View Treehouse

Bellissima famiglia. La casetta in legno stupenda e con vista sul monte Pidurangala. Siamo stati bene.

La camera risulta aperta nella parte alta, quindi in caso di forte vento può diventare fredda e rumorosa, ma vale la pena. Colazione nel nostro caso migliorabile.

La vue est à couper le souffle. Avoir une salle de bain extérieure a son cachet. Les hôtes étaient très accueillant et ont été très agréable. La nourriture est tout aussi bonne. Je recommande à 1000%

La tranquilidad y el sentirte dentro de la jungla. Nada de ruidos y se despierta en un lugar único, con el sonido de los pájaros y de las hojas de los árboles, una pasada. La gente amable.

Als je een ervaring in een boomhut en bij mensen wil, dan moet je deze boeken! Zeer mooie boomhut, goed gemaakt en je hebt prachtig uitzicht op pidurangala rock. Geen airco, maar het blaast ‘s avonds lekker door. Badkamer is ruim en mooi en schoon. Je doucht in de buitenlucht, heel leuk! De eigenaar en zijn familie zijn fantastisch. Elke ochtend heerlijk ontbijt en bij aankomst werd er lunch gemaakt. De eigenaar bracht ons overal naar toe, zelfs toen we voor zonsopgang naar de pidurangala rock wilden. Ontzettend aardige man die ons nog een citytour had. Absoluut een aanrader!!

Everything!!! The family, the location, the kindness, the helpfulness and the food :) It was soooo peaceful and calm. All of the food came from their garden and was freshly cooked for dinner … delicious!!! Everything was perfect. We felt soooo welcome and were not only given many ideas to make the most of our stay . Duminda drove us wherever we chose to go and picked us up once we were finished!! Honestly can’t recommend it enough, it is a truly special place

Leaving!

One of the most welcoming experiences we ever had. The whole family was involved in making sure we had a good time: the grandparents, parents, and girls. All of them are warm and open people. The father took us around in his tuktuk, even bringing us to the start of the Pidungarala Rock in the early morning; he arranged a safari for us; and we had diner there both nights, which was just delicious. On top of that you stay in a beautiful, self-made treehouse, with the best view. We were sad to leave, but will sure come back and recommend this place to everyone!

The tree house is a completely different experience than any other hotel or guest house we stayed at. The family there is super friendly and they have dogs and kittens, that are all absolutely adorable. They were very helpful with every question we had. When I come back to Sri Lanka I’ll definitely come back to this tree house. Also the food was amazing.

WiFi could be better.

The treehouse exceeded our expectations. It was romantic, peaceful, well-equipped and had the best views of Pidurangala rock, which you could see in the shifting light of the day. Although there was no air-con, the room has a fan and when the wind blows, there is a refreshing breeze throughout the space. The bathroom is beautifully finished and a shower al fresco cannot be beaten! The best part was Dhuminda and his family - he was always available to offer advice, support with onward travel, hiking tips and the most generous breakfast we had experienced in all of Sri Lanka. We extended our stay but wish we could have stayed even longer. Next time!

This was an extra special experience, Duminda and his family are the most generous, kind, interesting and genuine people we have met along our travels so far. They went over and beyond to make sure we had the best experience of the Sigiriya area. This booking is much more than just accommodation, it's a full immersive, local host experience. What you wish for when you travel to a new country - to get a genuine local experience. You should definitely book this!!!
