Appartamento Pinus Varenna

Great location, a bit of a walk to Varenna but easily accessible with close car parking.

Strong cigarette smell, other than that it was great.

The host was the best; he was forever helping to make our stay satisfactory. It was convenient to Varenna with a car.

Getting into the property was a bit confusing for us but it was rainy and we were tired. The table chairs were not the most comfortable but we are tall Americans. Not a fan of the European small shower—not a complaint, just my opinion. A designated parking place for that apartment would make it easier.

* Slow WiFi * Information dump for check-in is overwhelming (45 messages) * Washer didn’t spin properly * Shower curtain needs replacing (dirty on bottom) * Train station 15-20 minute walk with some intense stairs (not host’s fault obviously but it impacts the stay if you don’t have a car) * Issue with gas leak around apartment complex — host said work was scheduled and there was nothing to be done but when we called to confirm fire department and utility company sent people and it was fixed that night

We loved how close it was to the town! Alessandando was very organised and called and messaged through WhatsApp to help us with our arrival. The apartment had everything that you needed and we felt relaxed and at home!

We only wish we could have stayed longer than one night! Parking can be a little tricky too but the host gave us instructions on arrival.

Alessandro was an excellent host, and was always available to help us out during our stay, which really added to our overall experience. The apartment itself was beautiful, with a lovely view of the lake, as well as a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, which was a very nice touch. Would definitely stay again!

Alessandro, the host was very responsive and helpful. He arranged taxi for us upon our arrival and departure which was a great help as property is approximately 1.2km from the main Varenna station. Thanks Alessandro for the complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Even though the apartment was 1km away from the city, we thought it helped us to explore Varenna on foot and also to get the local vibe. The apartment had excellent views and it is a very good value for money. We reached Varenna at 7 am and Alessandro was so helpful and stored our luggage in the room which gave us more time to explore around as we were there in Varenna only for a day! We will definitely book the apartment again on our next trip as we really loved staying at Alessandro's place.

The owner is really amazing man, so helpful, really appreciate him The flat was fantastic, very clean and equipped with all the necessary things and there was even gel for laundry which was so necessary Absolutely recommend this apartment and for sure come back next time

Alessandro was able to accomodate to an early check in and provided us warm hospitality. The apartment itself was pristine, it had everything needed and good AC for the summer heat. We wished we stayed here longer!

It is further from the town and uphill - will need a taxi to get there but walking without any luggages is doable.
