I had to leave rather early for the airport so said to Magrietjie not to worry about breakfast however, being the accommodating person she is I had a spread of fresh fruit, yoghurt and the most incredible muesli, coupled to this I was packed 2 croissants for my trip to the airport!!! Amazing hospitality...

"Authentic Cape Dutch farmstead in town"

This is a lovely Cape Dutch farmstead built in 1811 and most of its original character has been maintained. Beautiful garden with massive oaks, yellow woods, succulents and lawn. We enjoyed walking through the garden before breakfast. Breakfast was excellent - good coffee, home made muesli with fruit and yoghurt. A quirky version of shakshuka, delicious! Period furniture in the room, but with modern amenities. High, high ceilings, beautiful light through the sash windows. Perfect for a visit to Wellington - centrally located, but in a quiet part of town. Hosts are welcoming and professional.

The breakfast was excellent. We were served a cold breakfast start with and the fresh fruit was unbelievable. Later the host made a custom dish for us with eggs which was also impressive because it was something we never had.

The breakfast was excellent. Magrietjie and her hubby Avril served us a lovely breakfast. Homemade Iced Tea, homemade Muesli, an abundance of fresh fruit- blueberries, kiwi fruit, pawpaw, yogurts. all served in a beautiful dining room with a log fire The room was magnificent, what a lovely place. Absolutely wonderful Hosts!!!
