The room smells like mold

The food was excellent. Sarah is a fantastic cook. The shoebill trip was great too, we managed to find one and to get very close to it. Staff is nice, the cottages are beautiful.

I missed a signpost at the very end, so for a little while it wasn't clear which direction we needed to drive for the last bit. White wine was not cold (staff was happy to put it in the fridge, but then it takes time to cool), which was unexpected for us given the quality of the food and the price of the booking.

This is literally a tropical paradise. Bungalows in the jungle on the bank of Viktoria lake. And at the same time you have all necessary conveniences. Super friendly service, amazing food (not only taste but also presentation), unreal place to have a rest from all the troubles of the world

Nothing about the lodge, but if you plan to walk through the village and buy something, forget about it. The village is really small and maximum what you can buy is fruits. You need to have everything with you or take a taxi to the nearest village with shops (~40 min) or you can ask lodge staff, they are ready to help with absolutely everything, but you’ll have to pay a lot

Nothing beats the experience of having a delicious breakfast by the lakeside. This was above and beyond what we expected and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

One of the best places we stayed during our 3 week trip in Uganda. You can notice there is attention to detail which is more than often lacking in Uganda. Staff (the J's :D) are fantastic and super friendly, Food without a doubt on another level, best we had. Perfectly located to venture out to spot the magnificent shoebill birds. Highly recommended!

Food was amazing and wonderful and the staff was attentive to every detail, gently and welcoming. Clean rooms and the shower outside unforgettable. We could plant a tree with our names. And also we saw the shoebill!!!

Mabamba Lodge is a beautiful facility with super friendly and helpful staff. The food is exceptional and the rooms are perfect.

The way to the lodge is a bit long and there is relatively little around it.
