Golden Square

The room was very spacious and had a lot of light considering it was a hostel. The location was perfect.

No outdoor space for hangout (indoor space is there) but considering the location, it’s a good tradeoff.

Good location. Cheap use of washing machine.

Lots of long term tenants - not good for backpackers passing through. Male staff poor (lady was good). Lots broken - windows, a shower.

Extremely great location. Central to everything with bha stops and metro station nearby. Panfilov park is just a 10 min walk away. Many restaurants close by and even a convenience store in the same building as the hostel. Staff was excellent, english speaking and very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean with lockers provided for luggage and personal belongings storage. There are two good size kitchens for public use with all cooking facilities provided. The toilets are clean and functional with good water pressure and hot water. Dryer and ironing board also available.

Showers need a bit more privacy rather than just a shower curtain. Mostly the hostel is occupied with long-term residents rather than tourist so you don't get a "holiday" vibe. As a solo traveler seeking some tourist mix-up in hostel like it usually happens this is not the place for that. Furthermore there is no real common "lounge" area where residents can just chill and relax and interact. Just the kitchen dining area.

Almat at reception was lovely, spoke great English and was very helpful. Very quiet and spacious room with enough facilities. Bathroom was close by. Kitchen and dining area.

Floorboards were old and hazardous and bed was very firm - I'm just not used to it as a softy.

Very strategically located, can't be a better option in terms of location. Star hostel & Hostel 64 nearby. The moment you step out all eateries, buses, are there. Panfilov, green bazar, Central ( Gorky ) park with in walking distance

Soap run out & wasn't refilled even upon informing, little cleanliness issue in men's common toilet
