Really easy to get to, essentially a straight shot from the station and only a few minutes away! The host came to greet us on the first day, which we had forewarning of. They were kind and checked we were settled in. The whole place has an authentic vibe to it and it was overall clean and comfortable. The "shikibuton beds" were neat! Be advised that the room on the ground floor right by the street is very noisy, with people and cars going by. Advise any one sleeping downstairs to sleep further into the house, in the ground floor living room. The living room is nice, the TV has working Netflix which is handy for the kids in the morning! Getting out to the washing machine is a little tricky. There is a "hidden lock", which is the middle horizontal wooden slat, it slides to the left to open the door. It is confusing as the door also has another metal lock nearer the top right as well. There are two toilets, one on each floor of the house, both clean and easy to use. Be aware the light switch is located high up and the lights themselves are on a motion timer. All the main rooms have air conditioning and it is easy enough to adjust to your personal preference. Turning them off is a little fiddly, you have to hold down the button that normally switches the mode. Go by the lights on the controller and the sound the machine makes - you will know! There was a lovely little welcoming gift when we got there. There is also a kimono to try on whilst you are there too! Everything in the kitchen is straightforward. There are a load of umbrellas to use, including a fetching little pink one :D Highly recommend this place to big groups, having a door code instead of a key makes it really easy to come/go as you please! 7 Eleven is around the corner and it is on the way to the station, so really easy to nab breakfast and/or supplies!

The bathroom has a fair amount of mould, which needs to be treated / removed. It's not a massive issue, probably best to keep the window open whilst you are in there! The water feature thing you get to look at, right outside the bathroom window, wasn't on or was broken whilst we were there, which was a shame.

Nhà có 1 nhà bà hàng xóm đối diện có vấn đề với khách du lịch , thường xuyên đứng trước cửa nhà mình dòm ngó vào bên trong và lầm bầm gì đó mặc dù nhóm mình không hề gây ồn ,lúc mới tới mình có giơ điện thoại lên chụp đường phố lại vì dễ thương,thì bà đó ra lấy nước tạt ướt đường , ướt nhà bà ý và quay qua nhìn mình mặc dù mình chưa hề đứng trước nhà bà cô đó để chụp ảnh . Điều này khiến nhóm mình thấy phiền và tuột mood khi lưu trú tại đây mặc dù home rất xinh

絕佳的地點 京都車站旁走路3分鐘就到民宿 附近有Aeon, 7-11, 全家 而且走路2分鐘就有日式澡堂 離民宿走路1分鐘距離就有兩家單車出租店 機能近乎完美～ 屋子是保持得很好的日式老屋 可以好好體驗傳統日本町屋 大多設備都有翻新 住起來非常舒適 也提供完整的鍋具和充足碗盤杯子 下廚聚餐也很方便 雖然浴室只有一間但兩個樓層都有廁所 且廚房旁邊有多設洗手台 多人入住不會在盥洗上造成太大不便 非常推薦要來京都旅遊的親友團體包棟

Slow wifi

It was terrific experience! The place is an old traditional house with garden, we actually didn’t expect it will be so good. The house has decent heating system, we didn’t feel cold in December, it easily accommodates 9ppl (2 double beds, 5 futons, there definitely was space for 1-2 more), 3 separate bedroom and living room. Amazing bathroom! Fascinating tea cup collection! Everything in really good condition. Also staff members very quickly responded on our messages. Definitely recommend this place!

Did not know how to enter laundry (it was explained in the welcome book that we read on the last day). The messaging app on bookin.com did not work and the phone number didn't work either. Hard to contact the host.

A wonderful traditional home. The hosts were delightful The location was perfect There was 9 of us and we highly recommend this beautiful accommodation One guest was 6ft 5 but he managed the lower door ways very well It was important to be quiet, we tried very hard to remain respectful. We are very sorry if we were a little loud at times we were just so excited to be apart of such beautiful community. Kyoto exceeded our expectations . There is so much to see and do Japan is an absolutely beautiful country to visit Everybody was friendly respectful and helpful I can't wait to visit again Thank you for everything

We loved everything

An unique apartment in old Japanese style and full of interesting decoration. The apartment can definitely give a feeling that lives in an ancient Japanese house. Living room and bedrooms are also cosy and spacious. Nice garden as well. Self check-in is easy to follow. Excellent location with just 5 mins walk from Kyoto station, and there is a convenient store just right at the corner.

Wifi is a bit unstable and there are definitely not enough sockets in each room. The shower feels a bit old and weird. You may feel a little bit uncomfortable if you are not a friend of ancient Japanese style.
