Shelton Boulevard Islamabad

The staff were nice but less trained, location was great. There was Nothing else to like about the property.

I travel to islamabad several times a year, and most of my experiences were awesome. But the recent stay at Shelton Boulevard Islamabad has won my top contender for one of my worst experience. The hotel is a historic property in an upscale community. We had booked, and paid the market-rate, for a one standard room and one family room. Our room prompted me to coin the phrase shabby broom closet. A wow factor is very common to me, and the reaction of my highly significant other (who is much less fussy than me) was that at least we were only going to be there for two nights. The furniture was incredibly shabby, mismatched, and chipped. The bathroom being the absolute worst part of our room. The shower was a tiny prefab metal it has a very cheap shower standard. At the beginning there was one towel for the whole family, The very thin and small towel looked like that were worn-out ones from a gym. The sink was a style one with plenty of space.The only amenities were at most two tiny bars of soap in plain wrappers that at most were good for washing your hands once. The breakfast was cold and was given in a garage like space. When i spoke with the waiter he said they would have warm it up for me. I still can’t understand why put the cold food out as a buffet? I did notify the staff and they offered me free food at the checkout but i refused to take anything for free, this hotel stay was a disgusting one and should be avoided. I just wanted to give my honest opinion as i told the manager there. So people can look somewhere else and don’t waste their money. I like the islamabad area and frequently traveled there, I spoke to the front-office manager. I told him everything that was wrong with the room. I also stated that I frequently visit islamabad and will be avoiding there hotel. Avoid Avoid ….!

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Housekeeping maintained the room impeccably every day. The hotel's ambiance was elegant yet cozy, creating a perfect retreat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Islamabad. Special thanks for the wonderful farewell breakfast!

Overall great experience

The TV was not working despite two complaints, and no one attended. The washroom floor drain was blocked, towels were below standard, and the buffet breakfast area was too small
