Super friendly staff, nice amenities.

The location was not ideal, the neighborhood didn't feel safe to walk through in the evening. I recommend the property but not the location, specially if you are a woman traveling alone. Another option is just to take Ubers and be in the area for as little as possible. The commoner rail doesn't come to the stop at all hours during the weekend, definitely keep that in mind.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, helping us out with the public transport. The house itself is big and spacious, with plenty of room to relax in the two different lounges. They also provide a lot of free food and snacks for you to enjoy during your stay. We loved our time there :)

It’s quite far away from the centre of Boston, although the train station to the city is right around the corner. It’s also in a slightly sketchy area, but not the host’s fault at all.

It was pretty clean and I enjoyed everything that was provided.

I did find a dead carpet beetle in my bed. I think there needs to be a fan in the bathroom. Also, someone took my Nike Slides off the shoe rack on the second day and I had to go buy new shoes. Please consider extra security, maybe like individual shoe safes or something, with codes. Also, someone locked the inside door with the deadbolt and it prevented me from getting back in at one point. Maybe put a reminder there or include it with the instructions.

There are some nice toiletries like toothpaste and a face mask when you check in, which is nice, but a closing window would be better!

I am very surprised at the other positive feedback about the property, which really did not apply to my booking. The house is very big and hosts 7 rooms, but there are only two bathrooms for everyone (which can go up to 14 when the rooms are full and with two guests in each, landlady and her family not included). The house is also old and not well-insulated, so that you can hear everything that is going when in your room or in the shared spaces. The cleanliness is okay but not great either, again due to the number of people using the same amenities. The worst thing for me was that the window in my room was significantly broken and impossible to close, therefore letting air constantly in. I was staying there during a rainy and windy spell (which happens often in Boston), and was absolutely freezing the whole week. I mentioned this to the landlady, who responded: "the window is broken, don't touch it" (there is also a sign on the window which mentions this, so it has clearly been that way for a while). She also said that she did not have an issue with being cold (!). She did offer me an extra blanket which I accepted, but even with that the room was still very cold, especially at night time. In addition to this, the neighborhood did not feel safe, and is poorly connected to the rest of the city. The closest public transport is not a metro but a commuter train that only passes every 30mn, and that is often late. The closest metro is 25mn away by walk. Given both the state of the house and the location, I found the booking overpriced for what it offers. Needless to say that I am very disappointed and would not recommend staying there. I wanted to book somewhere else as soon as I got there but I could not get my money back, so I moved my flight earlier to not stay as long. This has never happened to me before.

Absolutely lovely place to stay and felt so at home!

A perfect home with a perfect host. The house was very clean, spacious, peaceful, and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you might need, including fresh coffee, a stove, tea, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The rooms and beds were clean, bright, spacious, and absolutely excellent. With amenities such as an iron, television, and large shared living areas, the house offered a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend this place.
