Very clean and well maintained. Mr Simone makes the stay even better. Hospitality is the nickname of this place. It felt like I was staying with family. My room was incredible and the location couldn't be better.

The view and the location are amazing. It was really nice to have a glass of tea/wine on the balcony to start/end the day. Unlike other places inside the city walls, there is a parking lot for the fortress right in front of the hotel so you can drop your luggage off (outside of the ZTL) and then park either in the fortress parking lot (free from 8pm to 8am) or drive down the hill a short distance to the free lot (white stripes in the gravel lot) just outside of the walls like we did. The kitchen is well-appointed. There is a grocery store (the CO-OP) about a block a way if you want to cook in the apartment (we did this for breakfast). Extremely close to multiple restaurants, beautiful look-outs, stores, etc. The proprietor was great to work with too! We will definitely be back the next time we visit!

The AC struggled a bit to keep up in the July heat.

The location was amazing right opposite the castle. We had a choice of the rooms but unfortunately not the one with the balcony which everyone raves about! Simon and Denise were great hosts. Denise gave us a wonderful wine tasting and recommended a pre-dinner wine for us to drink, including a couple of wine glasses to drink from. The A/C worked really well which was perfect as the temperature was in the mid 30's. You need to go inside the wine store to check-in in case you wonder where the reception is located.

The location , free parking , air conditioning … Simone and Denise were fantastic hosts !!!!!
