Nice apartment comfortable, but very noisy. There was a night club under the apartment and it wasn’t able to sleep until 2-3 pm.

The location is very central and close to many attractions. The apartment was clean and came stocked with some basic food items (oil, sugar etc). The host checked in via text during the stay to see if we needed anything.

We were contacted by the property only a few days before our trip and told that they could not check us in since we were arriving too late. This surprised us since had given our check in time when booking (nearly 2 months prior) and they state in the booking confirmation that a late check in is possible (for an additional charge). They even sent us a "thank-you for booking" message when we booked where they can clearly see our arrival time. They offered no alternatives or other possibilities to check in. When I asked if we could then push the check in date one day in the future, they said to submit the request through booking. So I did that and they promptly declined it (confusing). This meant we had to rent an additional room for our first night at extra cost to us. They have their official check in times listed in the property rules on booking which, admittedly, we should have asked about. However, the fact that they waited until just before our arrival to communicate this, and then the lack of customer service we experienced when trying to resolve the issue created quite a bad experience. The apartment is very loud (there is a club in the Piazza right outside the windows which had DJs on multiple nights including week nights). The apartment itself also has some quirks; the bed is very soft, the sofa is hard, the lights in the ceiling glow in the dark, not much hot water, etc. We wished we would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

Central location

Noise every night (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from the bar that is directly under the apartment (the apartment is 1st floor). Noise goes till 3am at least. All 4 of us had ear plugs and all 4 of us were woken up from the noise. We had accidentally booked for 2 people and realised the day before we were due to check in. We notified the owner that there would be 2 more people and didn’t think this would be much of a problem as there was a sofa bed already in the apartment and the capacity of the apartment was written to be 4 people. We were told that we would have to pay almost double the initial amount of our booking to have 2 more people stay and to sleep on a sofa bed. We felt like were were totally being taken advantage of. When I complained about this I was told we can “stay somewhere else”. Under that circumstance we would have then lost our initial payment of €297 as it would be seen as a late cancellation from our side and still have to find accommodation. We arrived and the “sofa bed” for which we paid another €200 to sleep in was 105cm wide. This is a single bed size so for 3 nights my boyfriend and I had to sleep in a single bed together. If you look around there are so many other apartments that are cheaper and will give you a comfortable, quiet night sleep. Sad that it turned out this way.

Great location! Was ideal for a short stay as everything was so accessible. It was noisy in the street however not overly busy which was great. The host was available and efficient. Very comfortable apartment.

I needed to contact the property to meet the owner. This became problematic as the wifi was out at the airport.
