"It was good."

I liked the bathroom the most.

The swimming pool was not clean, and the garden at the back had leaves.

The coziness of the guesthouse made it perfect for a family trip, we all got our own space without being miles apart

Innocent was extremely helpfull. The bed we slept in was not nice, because when you turn the matrass springs made a terrible noice. The stay overall was amazing. Will defenitely recommend it.

"The stay at Sunbell was horrendous and very unpleasant"

2.0

Appreciate that coffee was offered (free) throughout the day. The colored housekeeper was willing to assist anytime and was very polite and kind.

The breakfast promised at booking was disappointingly backtracked on arrival and was asked to pay an extra R75 per person per day for it. The breakfast itself being cereal and fruit only. The rooms that were booked were not allocated to us on arrival. We were allocated to stuffy parkhomes behind the guesthouse. Even on explanation that some guests in the group were asthma sufferers. the smell was unbearable, we had to personally carry an old dresser that was stinking profusely, out of one of the park homes and leave it outside to try and get the moldy smell neutralized. Nothing was provided for the excessive heat in the parkhomes, no aircon, no fan, the blinds were laden with old dust, the bathroom was claustrophobic and stuffy. the taps were murky, the shower was rusted and squashed. The whole environment was unhygienic. Even the tv was not working. The yard was filthy with old dry fallen leaves, bird poo, no sweeping was done. The treatment from the white lady was discriminative and undermining. We were treated like we did not belong to the point that racial discrimination was clear. This put a negative spinner to the whole vacation. One of the days we came back to uncleaned rooms with no explanation.

"Great staff . Not so good location. No breakfast."

6.0

The room that I slept in was huge and it had enough storage for overpackers like myself .The ba8throom was also huge .

You have to use the shower manually ( you have to hold the shower head in order to shower ). There were chips under the beds ( bare in mind that we never had chips at the lodge for the whole duration of our stay ). The location is very far away from CBD . The aircon was making beeping noises and changing temperatures the whole entire day , so we had somewhat sleepless nights just because of that. There is NO BREAKFAST!!!

"Disappointing"

4.0

The property is beautiful and well situated. It's very clean as well. And marie was helpful.

The 2nd assistant was nowhere to be seen. And when she was seen she was so angry, she alone will know why. When we checked in we had to wait for people to be removed from our room cause they were put there by mistake. We could not watch TV due to open view not being available to come and fix the tvs cause of them being closed for December. The aircon in the family room is faulty so it goes on and off and beeps continuesly so I could not sleep, the 2nd night there were a group of youngsters who had booked in and they made so much noise we could not sleep we had to tell them to keep quiet. And Retha never answered my call when I wanted to ask her to please ask her assistant to ask the guest to quiet down. I believe communication is a great way to solve issues, but who does one communicate with in these situations when there's no one available?
