I wanted to confirm my time of arrival, no reply to email and no one answered the phone. I was not on the arrival list although my booking was confirmed and paid for in good time. Because of this I think I got the worst room. Right on the street. Curtains to thin to keep out the street light at night. Bathroom light not working, no bedside lamp. Shower floor needs urgent attention. No refreshments un the room had to go to a communal coffee station. Communal kitchen not clean. Kids toys all over the dining room floor. No TV.

I didn’t eat the breakfast as it was not actually free and buying it every morning was going to be expensive for the whole family

The swimming pool was too deep to swim in making it not safe for both children and medium height adults.

I did not like anything about the accommodation.

The rooms provided were nothing like those advertised on the website. We was completely disgusted upon arrival as the rooms were equivalent to backpackers' room and extremely dirty. The shower was packed with mildew. The view from our window was a filthy backyard. It was not what we expected. We requested a cancellation and a refund, but the owner did not even have the decency to respond to our request. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone. I lost R5580 booking this falsely advertised accommodation. The pics attached are what the accommodation truly looked like.

On the positive side, friendly, helpful staff kept rooms clean and neat. Each room had it's own bathroom. Beautiful pool and gardens. Management was very accommodating of our requests. Plenty of games provided to entertain children in the dining room.

This Self catering establishment as advertised is not what you would expect, it is communal self catering as all guests have to use one kitchen with only one set of pots and limited dishes for food prep. Bathroom fittings rusted and I had to ask for things to be repaired in my rooms from lamp to plug points, drawer handles and bathroom fittings that were falling out but the worst thing was when the shower door came off its hinge and fell on my daughter's head. She was badly hurt. Although I told the manager, she didn't ask how she was or if she would need medical help, a whole door! If you are on a tight budget and not picky about the facilities then this place is perfect as it is clean and neat. Always ask for rooms in the main house as outside rooms didn't have aircons.
