Rakucho Ryokan

L'accueil pour commencer, le propriétaire est très souriant et disponible. Un simple "soumisen" et il vous ouvre sa porte. La chambre. Magnifique. Grande. Typique. Une vue sur un ravissant jardin. Tout ce qu'il faut un réfrigérateur. La climatisation. J'ai payé une nuit 25000 yens pour un ryoken que je pensais de luxe. Et la le meme prix pour 3 nuits et je m'y sentais beaucoup mieux. Ne changez rien. Si je peux je reviendrai !

Une seule chose : un peu excentré et peu de restaurants autour. Mais un arret de bus à 2min qui vous emmène au centre en 20.

Location is good, near the city line. And spacious room.

The toilets, basins and showers are dirty. It’s evident that they have not been clean for a long time. And the paper screens, even though beautiful and authentic, in front of the windows lets in the light from the street lights outside making it hard to sleep. The room is too lit up during the night. I would have preferred if the light was blocked out at night.

Rakucho Ryokan is very traditional and enchanting with the owner being very helpful and attentive! Room is incredibly spacious with nice tatami and comfortable futon.

Wifi is not always working flawlessly..

We had a great three nights staying in this ryokan! Everything is very clean and the futons are very comfortable.

The accommodation isn’t very close to the city centre, but there is a train station 15 minute walk away and trains can really get you everywhere in Kyoto.

Établissement ravissant. Plus apaisé que dans le centre ville. Très proche de la riviere kamo gawa.

The perfect Kyoto experience if you want to feel the authentic and traditional house with the friendliest owner while still living 2 minutes away from a convenient bus stop, close to both the nature and the city. Would definitely recommend

Tout s'est bien passé. Très bon accueil. Propreté irréprochable. Quartier résidentiel à 20 minutes de bus des points d'intérêt de Kyoto. L'arrêt de bus est à 5 minutes du Ryokan. Il y a des commerces et des restaurants dans le quartier. L'hôte est disponible et fourni beaucoup d'informations et de services pour que votre séjour soit parfait.

Could not be happier about my 2 days stay at Rakucho ryokan. The room was perfect: clean, quiet, the futon super confortable and the showers/toilets clean and surprisingly quite modern. The host was very welcoming and offered really great suggestions for my stay. The small bike rental shop he suggested (“Bike laboratory”) really made my trip to Kyoto a memorable one. I arrived earlier than check in time, but was able to leave my luggage in a locker in the close by subway station and took this time opportunity to visit the awesome Kyoto botanical garden, a short walk away. Will definitely return.

Typique, bien équipée, avec une personne très accueillante 🙂
