Beautiful location on a beautiful property - was private, quiet, and came with a great view. Warm and comfortable beds. Lovely, helpful hosts.

Suggest bringing some slippers for the cooler months - the bathroom tiles can get a bit chilly underfoot.

Absolutely loved this place! The hosts, Craig and Lisa, are super lovely. Gave us a lot of tips about what to do/see in the area. Very fast in replying and welcoming :-) Would love to come back in the future

"Birdsong is a stay to sing about!"

The rooms at Birdsong were beautifully laid out and comfortable, with full amenities and with a gorgeous view of the eastern Taupo countryside. Our hosts, Lisa and Craig, were friendly and welcoming, going to great lengths to insure that we had a pleasant stay, which we did. They made several recommendations of activities we could consider doing during our visit to Taupo, and those that we did turned out to be splendid. Altogether, staying at Birdsong was a wonderful experience, and we heartily recommend it for others who visit Taupo.

As stated, we had a wonderful time at Birdsong, and we have no complaints about it.

"Beautiful location and amazing hosts"

The location was perfect, so peaceful. Lisa and Craig are amazing hosts. They let us meet their two sweet doggos, and even invited us to come feed their sheep (which our oldest loved) the house is beautifully kept and they even let us make use of their pool. They are very accommodating and offered the use of a baby bed for no extra charge and to our delight also found they had a highchair for us to use too.

The bed for me (chantelle) was too hard, however Lisa was amazing and promptly put a topper on it for me with did end up helping. The shower has no door, which made it a bit cold for showing our bubs, other than those, everything was wonderful.

"Beautiful property with quality furnishings."

Location, very well equipped. Wonderful, welcoming hosts

From what we read we expected 2 separate bedrooms. However, there were 2 single beds in the living area, the bedroom was partially walled. Had to walk through the bedroom for the bathroom. The set-up would be perfect for a couple, but for two friends travelling it lacked privacy.
