Hotel HAGOROMO

Comfy beds and linen. Super nice amenities. Easy check in. By the river. Good locals restaurants around and 7-11 60m away is very handy. We didn’t mind the streetcar option from the city. Found it all very easy. Hot powerful shower, good heating as it was cold. Quiet hotel. We enjoyed our stay a lot

We were sold a "non-smoking" room but when we arrived we were immediately met with the smell of smoke from the previous customer, despite a sign on the inside of the door saying "non-smoking". We asked the property to reallocate us to a room that did not smell of smoke, and they were unable to do so as the hotel was fully booked. We then realised we would need to arrange alternative accommodation as we did not wish to endure the smell of smoke in the air and on our clothes for 2 days, so we had to clear our evening plans to sort out the issue. We found an alternative place to stay and travelled there at additional expense. The hotel refused to refund us, saying the room had been cleaned - but it is obviously not possible to remove smoke from the air by cleaning a room. Booking.com was also incredibly unhelpful and refused to refund us for our stay, so this would make us very hesitant to book with Booking.com again as their customer service says they will reply in 24 hours but they are much slower than that, and are not motivated to help resolve issues caused by their providers.

Great location for the museum, 20 mins walk. Clean and all the facilities available.

No smart TV but we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway.

Spacious, comfortable bed, air conditioned. E-bike station below accommodation.

Location was a little far from train station and local attractions. Not many food places nearby.
