DEKomfort und Ambiente war gut, Personal höflich.
Es gab in der ersten Nacht einen Feueralarm. Wir standen ziemlich erschrocken und frierend im Schlafanzug eine Stunde draussen auf der Straße. Niemand vom Hotel machte sich die Mühe zu uns herauszukommen und uns aufzuklären, uns zu beruhigen oder Decken usw. zu bringen. Bis wir wieder einschlafen konnten vergingen so sicher fast zwei Stunden. Auch morgens beim Frühstück keine Erklärung, keine Entschuldigung. Für solche Fälle müsste das Personal besser geschult werden. Ein bisschen Fürsorge/ Empathie hätte gut getan.

CAThe hotel is in the heart of Aalsmeer's cute city centre and is itself very cute. I arrived a bit early, injured with my arm in a cast, and they were able to accommodate me immediately. Room is nice, with two huge operable windows (with screens! I've never seen that in Europe) and a FAN that's quite powerful, another nice thing one rarely sees in Europe, so I slept well. Breakfast was good and included. It's a mere 9km from Schiphol...
But don't let that 9km fool you. I was injured and couldn't walk the km with my massive suitcase, so the bus to Schiphol was out of the question. The taxi was 40 Euro! Herewith is the big problem: it LOOKS convenient to Schiphol, but unlike for, say, Utrecht , there is no train there and if you're in my circumstance you must take a taxi. Conveyance to and from the hotel, with taxis both ways, made this a more expensive option than if I'd stayed at a hotel at the airport itself. So, while this is indeed a lovely little hotel, be aware of the hidden costs.
BECAIt would be great to have the dining room open for dinner but we found a place nearby and the food was great.
I would have liked to have a view of the garden and the church yard.

BESamen met ons werd een oplossing gezocht voor de kamer die toch wel wat mankementen vertoonde
Door een defect werd de kamer verwarmd door de ketelruimte een verdiep lager. Er was dan ook geen enkele mogelijkheid om de 26! Graden van de kamer te verlagen. Ook het ontbijt was ondanks zeer goede reviews en een mooie ruimte zeer eentonig met een geur die niet vers over kwam
