Charming Views

The views were wonderful. Easy access to New World , cafes , restaurants and shopping. Staff handling the property were very pleasant and attentive . Well equipped kitchen

Property definately needs some attention to detail . I can handle being dated but bathrooms x 2 needed repairs

Beautiful View, Clean, lots of kitchen things, comfortable

1. Floor hearing not working 2. Heaters in both bedrooms gave off a chemical smell so were unable to use during our stay (did report this at end of stay) 3. Hot water only last ed for one half full bath then no hot water for almost 5 hours after this (did report this at end of stay) 4. Not enough towels for 4 adults - contacted management about this just after check in and were dropped off to us after 7pm on our first night. Lastly and most disappointing- advertised was a 3 bathroom unit - this was confirmed by phone call and a unit layout was discussed. We received a confirmation email a few days before arrival with no changes noted. At time of check in and making payment no changes were noted. After arriving at the unit we discovered that the 3rd bathroom (located upstairs in main living areas - kitchen, lounge, dining, out door patio, deck) was locked and not accessible. When I immediately enquired I was told - no it’s now just a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and listing was changed online - a quick look online confirmed this too be untrue as it was still listed as 3 bathrooms. I asked again and then was told ‘owners had decided to close it permanently to guests as it had been refurbished, and this had just been decided the weekend prior so may not of been updated online yet’. I expressed my extreme disappointment as my elderly mother was staying with us! This had a huge negative impact on her and our holiday experience / she had wanted to spend her days upstairs in lounge overlooking lake while we all went out exploring. She could not do this as she couldn’t navigate stairs alone - hence why we booked a unit with a bathroom on main living area level.. it was very disappointing. On check out I again expressed how upset I was about this and how it had hugely impacted our holiday and had we have been advised earlier we could’ve made alternative arrangements.

Amazing views as its literally at a lookout, spacious 2 level apartment, ambience, kitchen facilities, laundry, jacuzzi, reception staff was cordial, late checkout allowed till 8pm was handy, ability to pay at check in in local currency.

2.5% surcharge if you dont have cash, small beds, no single beds in either of rooms, no toiletries, difficulty in finding the reception which is at te wanaka lodge,

Clean house with beautiful view.

Great location, gorgeous views, comfortable furniture and beds, well equipped kitchen. Some things in the apartment are a bit dated, but this didn’t bother us at all as everything was comfortable, functional, clean and tasteful.

My only complaint is the 2.5% surcharge for payment with credit card. There was no option to pay through the booking.com website, so the only way to avoid this would have been to have cash. 2.5% works out to be a lot when the booking is over $1000! With some warning we would have taken out the cash.

Loved the views and location

This is a must stay if you come To the wonderful town of Wanaka. The house is very spacious and the view is amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Nothing!

Location was excellent, just above the town centre with amazing view of the lake. It had the largest TV that I've ever come across in holiday accommodation.

No toilet upstairs, only in the downstairs ensuite bathrooms (2). Being confronted with an additional $65 charge for cleaning and 2.5% credit card surcharge on booking in.
