Jumaboy Guesthouse - Transport, Rooms & Hiking Tours

This is a great place to stay if you want to overnight near the 7 Lakes. Simple mountain hut for overnight in the mountains. Jumaboy was extremely helpful in helping to organize rides from borders/ Penjakent to 7 lakes and overnight at the guesthouse. I am glad that I booked transportation from the Penjakent borders as it would have been a bit chaotic at the border if no pre-arrangements were made. The guesthouse also offers a delicious dinner from vegetables grown in the garden cooked over fire.

Such a lovely place to stay! Muslim was a wonderful host and his family were very welcoming. He speaks fantastic English and is very responsive on WhatsApp, giving us information and helping us make travel arrangements to get to 7 Lakes. We stayed in a private twin room with en-suite, it was simple and clean with endless hot water in the shower. Food was delicious, vegetables fresh from the garden every day and a very reasonable price. They also sell water, vodka and beer.

Like many guesthouses in the Fanns, there isn’t WiFi and the mobile coverage is weak (tcell is the best) so any online planning/ things you need to download etc, do before arriving.

Host was super nice and helpful, especially when helping planning transportation to and from the guesthouse. The provided a lot of good food (which costs extra) which is a big plus. The area is very beautiful. The facilities are a bit bare bones as it is in a remote part of town, which is to be expected. The water pressure was weak on the night we had spent, but the host had addressed after the knowing about it. Overall, a very nice place to stay in the area.

The water pressure was a bit weak, especially on the second floor, which was a temporary issue. The bathrooms are a bit bare-bones, so some might not like it. The bedding in my room was okay; one of the beds sank really deep, while the other one was fine so people with back problems might have issues (but fine by me).

We loved Jumaboy Guesthouse's charming rural green oasis in a very dry and rocky landscape. As a gardener myself, I just loved seeing their flowers and huge vege garden and it was great knowing that the meal ingredients were either sourced from their land or locally. Having a cold tub of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available on an honesty system was a thoughtful touch. We really enjoyed the meals, which are prepared over an outdoor fire. I've seen some earlier reviews commenting on the food quantity, but we found all meals to be very tasty and generously proportioned. The host Muslim was incredibly attentive and pleasant, and extremely apologetic about some minor issues we experienced. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

One can't review a guesthouse in such a remote location against the same standards as city accommodation. That said, as great as Jumanoy was, it wasn't perfect due to virtually no Internet and extremely low water pressure in the shower. We ended up having to crouch under the tap to wash. I also noticed hair on my pillow, so didn't use it. Those things aside, we liked this guesthouse and would definitely stay again.

Gospodarz, Muslim pomocny we wszystkim. Zorganizował transport od/ do granicy z Uzbekistanem, zawsze uśmiechnięty, dbajacy o komfort gości. posiłki dostosowane godzinowo do gości. Pyszne kolacje. Warunki skromne, ale jest wszystko: czysta pościel, ciepły prysznic, możliwość odpoczynku na tapczan. Super lokalizacja. Wspaniała rodzina. Odpoczynek pośród gor. Polecam.
