Mookdaman Bungalow

The gardens, warm and comfortable accommodations, view, service including bookings for amazing experiences, food.. everything about our stay at Mookdaman Bungalow was spectacular! I hope to have the opportunity to return one day to this special place!

Nice location, right at the beach. Spacious bungalow.

The ladies in the shop in front try to overcharge you for everything. The door doesnt fully close, which leaves space for mosquitoes to come in.

Gorgeous setting in exquisitely flowery garden full of monarch butterflies and birdsong; and opposite - just the other side of the fairly quiet little coast road.. the sea: a pleasant sandy beach with a gorgeous view across to the little islets studding the bay. Beautiful! The bungalow itself was also delightful, with both a front and side terrace, each supplied with seating, and a wide roof to protect any clothes hung up to dry (wooden clothes rack also thoughtfully provided) from rain showers. Lots of windows (on all four sides of my bungalow) but all with good curtains for privacy as required. Bed and pillows fine. Both fan and a/c provided (and working very effectively), very cold fridge, a kettle, cups and nescafe sachets.

Details offering scope for improvement: -The toiletries supplied were a bit minimal (just one tiny soap bar).. for the quality/price of the accommodation you might reasonably expect provision of shower gel and shampoo too? (Refillable bottles ie) -Cartons of coffee whitener would have been useful to complement the sachets of nescafe supplied; and some teabags too, perhaps? -The shower wasn't great - water pressure very low - though did its job. Weirdly, using the shower provoked a frenzy of insect life (mainly in the wet bathroom) after the event which was briefly worrying but then disappeared (mostly of its own accord) almost as swiftly as it had invaded within about half an hour of occurring. Country living! (Did me no harm.)

We loved everything about the property, it was in a perfect location, the staff were so friendly and the facilities were great. We were already talking about coming back the second we stepped into the room.

That we didn’t stay for longer, one night wasn’t long enough!

Only minor negative is that payment is cash only, given the limited atms on the island means you need to walk a bit to get cash for payment of room. All booking.com properties should either be made to have card machines or take payment via booking.

I stayed at the bungalow with my partner and mother. The bungalow location was so perfect, we could see the ocean from our front porch! The garden was so nicely kept and the ladies that ran the hotel/restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Areeya was super helpful with any questions we had and help us with booking transportation etc. I loved it there! There were restaurants all along the beach, and even some restaurants on the actual beach. Its the perfect place to watch the sunrise and its located close to Pasai beach

The airconditoner was a bit too warm during the day and was very cool at night, maybe it's a bit old but that was the only issue we encountered.

Amazing location and very cute little bungalows next to the sea. Gorgeous garden and the beaches around that area are lovely (tidal though) and very peaceful- no crowds! The bungalows have a fridge and kettle, ours had two decks to hang put on.

The pillows are very stiff and the bed is quite hard. Shower wasn’t very effective but its not a big deal.

Basic bungalow but has everything you need. Beautiful green surroundings, nice terrace, efficient host, beach very close, scooter rent available on site (250 for 24h), great massage (JJ Queen) just next door, lots of cafes and restaurants in area.

No proper blanket, a bit messy environment next to the bungalow, bathroom cleaning could be better.
