AUNice location on very busy road, however no road noise when windows were closed. Lovely sunset views of Lake Taupo and Mt Ruapehu snow covered in the distance. Handy to a Woolies just up the road, great for self caterers.
Extremely tight parking, especially when neighbouring unit also has guests. Balcony and bbq both desperately in need of a clean. Outdoor furniture covered in cobwebs. Washing machine filter was filthy. Just a couple of things need addressing to make it worth the price

NZNZThe beds were nice and comfy and it seemed quite warm and generally very comfortable.
There was black mould in the bathroom and the kitchen doors were not in good condition which wasn't evidenced in the photos. while this did not stop or affect the visit it was certainly not so pleasant.
NZThere was a problem with the lock box, maybe needs checking/repair/replace. We had to ring the host initially but then managed to open it. The host was very responsive. We like the location and view. It was a reasonable size unit. Quiet unit. Furnishings good. We would stay again.
There were a couple of things that we felt should have been better .... the fry pans certainly need replacing, the teflon is coming off and they are very worn and scratched. Almost unusable. This is a health & safety issue for quests. Some of the cooking utensils were in the same category. The towels were limited even tho there was a heated towel rail. There were no face cloths. It would be great to have the number "5" sign on the front of the building as we found it hard to locate which unit to go to, especially in a large vehicle. No use having the 5 by the back door where it cant initially be seen, especially if arriving in the dark.
