The guesthouse didn't check me in. I called all available numbers and even took pictures of me at the gate trying to gain access into the yard

The guesthouse didn't check me in. I called all available numbers and even took pictures of me at the gate trying to gain access into the yard

Firstly the rooms did not smell fresh, the mat needs to be cleaned. The bed was uncomfortable and the linen didn’t smell fresh either. Then on Sunday a friend came to visit, she was told to park outside as she has blocked parking for other guests. Guess what, there were no guests next door. Then I got a message via booking.com from the owner saying is our guest staying over because our booking was only for 2 people. I mean aren’t visitors allowed, should we report to them when we’re having visitors. The friend wasn’t going to sleep over, she had her own place. She wasn’t gonna sleep over in a smelling room.

Location is great.

A chair or 2 in the room would be good. There were no tea spoons or any cutlery. Room not checked before arrival, there were no towels

The host was very friendly...I'm definitely coming back

Stuff was friendly, though I had to wait for an hour to check in
