Riverside Guesthouse & Sauna

The staff was very welcoming and helpful without being annoying. Good job 👍 Everything was clean. The food was really good and plenty. As others already pointed out they charge a little more than others in the area but you get a lot of value for it. For hikers of the peaks: It's a bit off path but if you want to take a taxi, which I would recommend it's not an issue.

Vusanje is a lovely village. The Riverside is just about the perfect place to rest up if you're walking in the mountains. Great food, the warmest of welcomes, a nice balance between informality and efficiency. We arrived in Vusanje after dark and the owner came and picked us up. He and his daughter are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Just a couple of bits of information (not things we didn't like). Vusanje is a small village, but like some others on the Peaks of the Balkans trail (Theti, Valbone, etc), it's very spread out, so walking distances can be considerable. No ATM. Nearest is four km away in Gusinje.

A great place to stay for those who plan hiking in Prokletije. Very responsive host Ari and a really pleasant atmosphere there. Highly recommend!

Lovely

Super nice place to stay. Close to the (very cold!) river. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We did the peaks of the balkans hike, but I would also recommend staying here when you just want to visit the area. Because they know a lot of nice places to go. They offer rides to trailheads if needed. The food was great.

Nothing

The hospitality of the family was amazing! Arilda and her father welcomed us, like we were already friends. We felt comfortable from the very first moment. The house is very nice. Surrounded by the mountains. Beautiful. We had a room at the attic. With 6 beds. We liked it a lot. It was clean. The diner and breakfast were great! We were sad to leave.

We didn't have hot water in the shower. Later in the evening around 10pm, the water had warmed up, and then there was hot water. Think we should have waited a little while to take a shower. Not bad at all, because it is such a remote beautiful place, so we can understand and we don't mind a lot
