There was very little kindling to start the fire. Luckily we brought our own axe to chop some ;-)

GBAn unassuming house with a spotlessly clean and modern interior. The beds were very comfy, as was the furniture in the lounge. Booking.com hadn't sent the key safe code through, but the contact number was promptly answered and we were in! Good enough to make me sorry we were only staying for 1 night, so if you were going to use it as a base for various trips out you'd be very happy. Don't miss the view of the mountains from the back garden, either. The only annoying things were 1. that the TV had some sort of commentary thing switched on (and that was unlikely to have been set by the owners) that we couldn't work out how to turn it off and 2. There was no bedside light (which really is a 1st world problem - just walk across the plush carpet back to your bed).
NZFantastic cottage that was only a short walk into town. Amazing views and absolutely everything we could possibly have needed was in the cottage plus more.
