City Park Hotel Jongno

Just felt like someone lived there as men’s toiletries left on bench used ! Smelt cigarette smoke when we walked in ! Was clean and that but slightly creepy!

Perfect place if you plan to spend the days outside. Location is awesome and staff is friendly. We had a problem with the toilet (it was stucked) and it was fixed on the third night.

Easy to get the place. Room are good, close to tourist attraction place.

We encountered about 4 different receptionists throughout our 3-night stay, and all but one were impolite, rude and unfriendly. One of the receptionists, a young man, rudely demanded that we 'prove' that we are a family otherwise 'we cannot check in' even though we have already paid for the room in advance (family room for 3 pax) as a couple in our 50s and our son in his 20s. We had to hand over our passports to explain that the father's surname is the same as the son's to be allowed to check in to our rooms which we have paid for. There was no way to prove the husband-wife relationship unless a marriage certificate or birth certificate was shown but fortunately the receptionist relented without further escalation. Plain ridiculous and insulting - no such rule was ever made known to us and is not the norm anywhere in Busan or Jeju or any of the dozen countries that we have visited in our lifetimes. The family room was small and not very clean (sticky floor) with little extra space to move around. Half of the lamination had peeled off the window frame and was hanging unfixed. Overall poor experience and will not recommend at all.

The outside looks a little run down, the lobby is kind of messy and the hallway carpets definitely need to be replaced. But the rooms themselves are quite good, especially for the price. Free laundry service for people staying at least 5 days was a great surprise. It can be difficult and or expensive for a traveler to do laundry in Seoul.

Our room was always clean.

When arrived, we found out that someone else extended their stay, so our room was upgraded to the family room. While the room is small with very little floor space, the room is clean and have plenty of electric plugs. The bed is a bit hard, typical of Korean hotel. The best part is the location, close to Changdeokgung palace and airport bus, within walking distance of two subway stations, and tons of small restaurants around. Overall it is a very good value.

This was a regular motel that happened to be situated right next to the royal palaces (Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung). It had good parking spaces but driving the car through the narrow alleys to access the motel was a challenge. As for the room itself, it was fairly roomy and clean with reasonable amount of amenities. There was a bit of distinct odour, but not particularly annoying. Overall, a good bang for the buck considering the location.

Great services. Very clean. Free water, ice coffee and instant noodles everyday. Lots of restaurants around. Great location. Building is dated.
