Simpsons Cottage - Grove Road Cottages

Very smart cottage and well located.

The cottage was clean and beautifully presented, some great original period features in the lounge and bedrooms, plus a stylish kitchen and amazing wet room! We had a great time catching up with friends here. We travelled by car and our friends came by train so the proximity to the station and free parking was ideal for us, plus we were basically a only couple of minutes' walk into the town center so a super location all round!

Host was nice and quick to respond with requests, (although with things that should have already been in there) I.e: kitchen roll, bathroom floor mop ect. Front room large and comfortable with big eating table, large kitchen with good fridge/freezer and cooker, dish washer, washing machine (none drying), microwave, iron and board, cloths airer etc. Parking permit included, (a short walk down the road). Location is very good. Beds comfortable (despite creaking). Property was clean.

Stairs are like climbing a ladder, and the banister is set to high to be of any use. Door at base of stairs unnecessary, if closed from downstairs you could not open it from the stairs side (easy fix, with a new door latch), but it would look better open plan. Shower looks nice on the photo's but its unpractical with it being situated right in the middle of the bathroom, meaning the water go's every where. So if someone wants to use the toilet after, you need to make sure the floor is mopped dry in case of a slip, plus no lock on the door, and no sink plug. Bedrooms could do with a little tlc, no chest of draws, and the bed frames need tightening up because they make a very annoying loud creaking noise when you just slightly move let alone turn over, (easy fix). Very little tv channels on the main telly in the front room. Kitchen, some utensils need replacing, i.e frying pans etc. because they were unusable, one tea towel, no tumble dryer. Situated on a busy main road, front door needs replacing due to bad ageing damage. Im sure that when the host reads this, he will put most of these small, but annoying things right.

The cottage was very nice, clean and cosy. Location fantastic and there is a little park next for your dog. Paul was very professional and friendly. I sent few texts to him regarding the place and he texted me back straight away. Very nice experience in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Location of the property, easy book in arrangements, free parking there are a lot of plus points to this property it just needs some TLC

Level of noise from the constant traffic The property looks like when first renovated it was to a high standard, it's a shame it hasn't been kept to this, the outside areas are very dirty, shabby and unkept, part of the garden is blocked off by a fence which is extremely overgrown, which is a shame as it would be an asset to the house.

Stora rum. Hade varit bra om ett av rummen hade enkelsängar om man har barn med sig. Bra kök, men saknade vissa grejer så som en ordentlig brödkniv. Badrummet var lite udda med en dusch mitt i och ett stort sittbadkar i koppar. Hade varit bra med en toalett till ett såpass stort hus.
