"Convenient, Cozy Ambience in Brighton"

10.0

Artist Residence Brighton is conveniently located in view of the sea. Upon entry there is a cozy , rustic vibe. You check in at the bar, and there is an inviting restaurant on site (we didn't eat there during our one-night stay). The room was spacious and comfortable, very nicely appointed with water bottles and tea selections, milk in the fridge. The bathroom was also very nice, with fine products for use and appealing decor. The staff was friendly and welcoming without being overbearing, and let us leave our bags at the hotel until our room was ready. They even took them up for us so when we arrived back they were in our room. We will definitely go back!

"Faux Bohemian"

4.0

Breakfast (not included) was good, and the people working there were nice. Some interesting artwork on the walls, but lots of hotels have that. There really was nothing artsy/artistic/bohemian or special about this place. We felt it was overpriced, overhyped, and dingy. The bathroom was completely impractical. No AC. Uncomfortable bed. Will not be back.

"Boho gem"

8.0

Artist Residence is a bohemian treat. We arrived on a Friday afternoon in the pouring rain and checked into our room and then holed up for the rest of the day in the lounge area and dinner in the restaurant (superb food!!) whilst storm Amy raged outside. The room was very whimsical on the top floor with hand painted bees on the walls. Nice touches of Tunnocks caramel bars and slippers. We had champagne flutes and wine glasses in our room but an empty mini bar (except fresh milk) which I thought was a bit odd and a missed trick to get people to spend money. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the window was lovely. The bathroom was sweet but completely impractical. Shower over bath with no screen or shower curtain so that even with the bath mat the floor got wet. I suggest removing the bath altogether and just creating a nice wet room (Room 11). We only had breakfast on one day (we stayed two nights), and it was fine. The price of the sourdough toast was astronomical and we live in London. £5.50 for one and a half slices of toast with butter and spread!! I would expect a bread basket for that price. To add insult to injury it was pre-"buttered" and it was not butter. Not great. Please bring the (actual) butter to the table so I can do it myself. The staff were all lovely, and the location is perfect. Would stay again, and definitely keen to try other locations.

"Best bartender in Brighton!"

10.0

A welcoming, funky hotel well positioned for everything Brighton has to offer. Our room was decorated in an industrial chic style with bramley products and a roll top bath. Tapas style dinner dishes prepared in the open kitchen were tasty and generous. The bartender made the best pisco sour and clearly loved his job! Add this one to your list of must stays in Brighton.

"Gorgeous hotel, great for a short stay, but pricey"

8.0

Location, decor, staff, tea, coffee, caramel biscuits 😊, Bramley products, big fluffy towels, comfy bed.

Could hear every word spoken in neighbouring bedrooms, esp with people chatting at 1am! Earplugs are a must! Could do with a mirror hung near a power point, hotels never seem to think of the women in the room!!

"Birthday stay"

10.0

Amazing stay at the Brighton hotel for my partners birthday. We stayed at the Bristol one for her birthday a couple of years ago and plan to do all 5. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was fantastic just like the Bristol room.
