Chapter Two Bar

The room was advertised as small and although it was small we actually felt there was more space than we expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely big room, was very clean and good central location.

Small issues. Toilet seat was not securely attached, bed was very soft and the springs were uncomfortable m.

I love the rooms at Chapter Two, in fact, this was my second stay with them. This time I stayed in room number 3. It was a compact space with a comfy bed and quality bedding. The shower was excellent and the supplied toiletries were nicely scented. It was cosy and warm, with an extra heater if needed. Hospitality tray was well stocked and bottled water was supplied. The staff were friendly and welcoming and walked me right to my room with an offer to carry my case.

Just a couple of minor quibbles - the shower door was difficult to open and close. One of the side tables was dirty with a coffee cup ring staining it. I cleaned it off myself. The room is quite small with no seating area or desk.

No breakfast but spotless and central. Tastefully decorated. Staff very friendly. Stayed twice and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

A very good position, was very quiet at night as the bar closed at 9.30pm. Was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Was suitable for emergency overnight stay that was needed as other accommodation had had to cancel due to boiler breakdown. Oh, and cocktails were really good.

Toilet seat was loose, staff tried to fix it but very unsafe with someone like me who has mobility issues. Very steep steps to rooms. No door handle on bathroom, small twin room so no hanging space for clothes. Bed uncomfortable and pillows too soft so no support. Unfortunately my friend and I needed a twin room otherwise staff would have swapped for their downstairs room.

Gorgeous comfy room. Warm, cosy. Great big soft bed and lovely feather pillows. Terrific shower. Atmospheric snug in the bar with roaring fire.

Nothing. Great staff. Lovely venue. We will be back. Only improvement would be breakfast which is on its way soon now the kitchen has been revamped. Could use one big refillable shower gel/ shampoo dispenser rather than single use bottles.

Excellent location on the market place.
