Bluebird Guesthouse

The guest house is located on a darling street full of shops and restaurants, yet it feels quiet and secluded. It was a lot like staying at grandma’s house if Grandma had clean, new linens and a stocked fridge with tasty breakfast items

It’s not quite right to say I didn’t like this aspect, but the house is old and as such, there are areas that don’t feel as fresh.

Communication and onsite staff were excellent. Location perfect. Well stocked kitchen and snacks. Nice common areas to eat or relax.

We were on the bottom floor which was incredibly loud and squeaky when people were walking in the kitchen or dining room above. Invariably someone was up late at night and someone else was up early in the morning, which made sleeping really hard even with earplugs. Also to bed was not that comfortable and the room had one small window to the alleyway. Not sure about the upper floor rooms.

It is odd to not see any staff at anytime and do check in check out etc alone

I love the guesthouse and the location. There are quite a few nice restaurants within a short walk and I can walk to Mount Tabor, which I love. I like the communal aspects to the guesthouse and had a number of interesting conversations in the kitchen. Your breakfast food is high quality. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and so are the pillows!

There was nothing I didn't like. I have been coming to the Bluebird and the Evermore for about 10 years, and it always meets a high standard.
