We had a great weekend staying at Balnearn House whilst we attended our friends wedding at nearby Fortingall. We thought highly of the accommodation up until we checked out on the Sunday and realised on the drive back to Manchester that an item of clothing had been left in the room. We contacted them within hours of leaving however we were told the item was not in the room. Over the next day we contacted them again to seek clarification, however received no explanation and felt the complaint had not been dealt with in a satisfactory manner. It’s a shame it left a sour note to what was an enjoyable stay.

Made very welcome especially as we arrived early and were booked in straight away. Very nice house. Our double en suite room was also lovely. Breakfast was very nice with good choice

The hosts, Mark and Claire, were warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was cozy. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide-range of options! Highly recommend!

The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. The room was compact but had everything you needed and the en-suite was spacious. The room looked recently decorated and was in excellent condition. Plenty of parking space. Directly opposite an access to the lower Birks giving scenic access into town.

Normal breakfast times start at 08:00 which for us is late. We didn't ask to see if it could be earlier though.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful. It was warm, clean, spacious & had (most importantly) a modern, clean bathroom with absolutely no damp! The breakfast options were really great, & delicious, in a sizeable front room with a lovely view. I have, in the past paid more for a room far less comfortable with no breakfast option.
