Balnearn House

Early breakfast provided on first morning and porridge bowl refilled when asked for a second helping. Partner enjoyed his cooked breakfast. Owners were friendly, and property was spotless with a lovely lounge to relax in.

Mark and Claire were very helpful, friendly and attentive during my stay, providing great help on local walks. The room was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent.

The house is beautiful. Absolutely immaculately clean. Comfortable bed and lovely pillows. Breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect for walking into town or to the Birks of Aberfeldy.. We were warmly welcomed by Mark and Claire. Would love to return.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, großes Zimmer mit sehr bequemem Bett, tolle Lage. Also: Perfekt. Tatsächlich hätten wir unseren kurzen Schottland-Trip wohl anders geplant und wären hier länger geblieben, wenn wir vorher gewusst hätten, wie schön Aberfeldy und seine Umgebung sind - und wie gut man in Balnearn House aufgehoben ist.

The house is a lovely old house with high ceilings, large windows and period features. There are rooms on the ground floor and first floor. We were in one of the rooms in the extension, which was lovely and had a fabulous little bathroom (very powerful shower). There's a residents lounge available too which was lovely to sit in and rest. Locationwise the house is in a lovely spot, within an easy reach of the start of the 'Birks of Aberfeldy' walk but then also an easy walk back to restaurants. The breakfast was great too, local ingredients from the local butcher and nicely cooked. Set us up well for a day of adventures.
