Balnearn House

Location (walking distance from the town centre and there is a nice short walk in a park just across the street), convenient parking, spacious bathroom, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, quiet neighborhood

There are a few days in Scotland which are relatively hot. We came at one of such days, the room was very hot, opening the window did not help and we had to stay away until night, when it cooled down. A ventilator would have probably solved the problem, but was not available. There was no elevator, so we had to drag the suitcases up the stairs to the first floor. Not a big deal for younger visitors. The room felt smaller than it appears to be on the photos, but this is admittedly subjective.

Loved it all! Comfortable, clean, big room, lovely lounge area, easy to walk to community sites, very nice hosts, great breakfast with some unique options.

Das französische Doppelbett war wirklich sehr klein, wir haben leider beide aufgrunddessen schlecht geschlafen.

Everything was as we would wish, Mark was the perfect host and breakfast was timely and excellent.

Beautiful traditional building, super comfy, lots of places to relax (outside seating area, lounge etc.).

Parking was a little tricky if you’re last in.
