Oceana B&B

Another fantastic stay at Oceana B&B with Michael and Di. The consistently excellent hospitality, friendly service and high-quality accommodation always makes my Father's Day visit to Tassie family that much more enjoyable and relaxing. Top recommendation.

I originally planned to stay 3 nights at Oceana B&B and then move on, but I ended up staying 6 nights. Michael and Di's friendliness and helpfulness made my decision easy, even if it meant I had to travel a little further to some of my daily excursions. The room was impeccably clean with lots of 'extras' - binoculars, dressing gown, slippers and more. Breakfast was The Best Ever, without a doubt, and something different every morning. Sometimes there would be a lovely little snack waiting outside my door when I returned in the evening. As a solo traveller, they looked after me far beyond what I would normally expect. It was like staying with old friends. I had the best sleeps of my Tassie trip while at Oceana; the bed was very cosy and comfortable and the view over the river was a delight to wake up to. I'll definitely stay there again if I go that way in the future. Elma

Michael and Di were wonderful hosts. Very friendly, welcoming and happy to help. Gourmet breakfast was delicious. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Spacious, clean bathroom with beautiful Beauty and the Bees products. Highly recommend.

Conveniently location in a lovely suburb of Hobart. Beautiful continental breakfast prepared by our wonderful hosts Michael & Di. These breakfasts are 5 share quality. Room was very comfortable and warm, bedding was excellent. The room had everything we needed and if we had any questions our host went above and beyond to obliged any of our requests. Throughly recommend Oceana B&B and we would certainly use again when in Tassie.

I cannot say enough about how pleasant and gracious and accommodating Michael and Diane were. We stayed for four nights, and we are so glad that we did. The view from the room was stunning, and the room itself was perfect for us. Michael and I were full of suggestions and videos of places we could visit or dine at. Parking right out the front door and they were there for whatever we wanted, but left us to own options when that was her choice. Definitely 10 out of 10, and I would recommend it to our friends personally and we have already decided we will be back.

Great stay with wonderful hosts. Michael and Di went above and beyond with providing us with amazing breakfasts to get our days started! Offered great suggestions for places and restaurants to visit on our holiday and welcomed us into their home for a chat. The room was cozy with electric blankets on the bed, lovely bathroom and walk in robe. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Oceana. The hosts, Michael & Di were exceptional. The breakfasts we were served were definitely 5 star, not only delicious but beautiful works of art. The B&B was well stocked and every detail was considered things like binoculars, charging cords and beach necessities along with an iPad that was loaded with details about the room, local eateries and sight seeing information. We appreciated the lovely linens and pillows and the small but well chosen amenities like shampoo, conditioner and soap. We cannot say enough positives about our stay and hope you will give it a try. Friends of ours recommended we stay at Oceana B&B while we were in Tasmania. We are so glad they did! We spent five wonderful nights at Oceana B&B in early April 2023. Michael and Di are the most gracious hosts. They have set up their guest room with everything a guest could possibly want or need, including all the usual items, plus a picnic basket with all the necessary dishes and cutlery, ice packs in the freezer, a picnic blanket, beach towels, etc. Michael and Di are a wealth of information about what to see and do in Tasmania (not just the Hobart area, but all of Tasmania). They are also able to book tours for you, arrange rental cars and recommend restaurants. The breakfasts that Michael prepares every morning are beautifully presented and delicious. The house signature poached pears were exquisite. The care Michael takes with the presentation of the different food each day is five star worthy. We can't say enough good things about Oceana B&B and its wonderful hosts. Try it yourself. You will not be disappointed.
