Despite having Lifetime Titanium status with Marriott Bonvoy, because of the the very positive reviews, and its high rating on TripAdvisor, I booked a one-night stay at The Rose for my wife and me during a transit stop in Chicago between our flights from Tokyo to Myrtle Beach. Angie at the front desk was both friendly and helpful, providing us with an early check-in, and recommending a few local restaurants (being tired and jetlagged, we chose the "easy option", and walked next door to Carmines for a late lunch/early dinner). Breakfast at Thorn Restaurant and Lounge was exceptional, and I don't use that word lightly. Angeliz provided us with very warm and friendly service; our requests for changes to what we wanted to order (dropping potatoes in exchange for fruit) was gladly accepted, something we very rarely experience back home in Australia. We very highly recommend The Rose, and are looking forward to our next stay there in June. Sincere thanks and appreciation to both Angie and Angeliz, as well as to Front Desk Supervisor Ms. Santana, who I had exchanged emails with prior to my wife's & my arrival at ORD.
