The Rose Chicago, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

I stayed at The Rose Hotel in Chicago and unfortunately had a very disappointing service experience. On March 5, 2026, I waited for the airport shuttle for more than one hour. After calling the front desk, I was told that the shuttle was already on its way. In reality, it arrived only about 20 minutes later. When I asked the driver why it had taken so long, he did not respond at first. Later, while we were on the bus, he told me that it might be better for me to choose another hotel. I found this comment highly inappropriate and completely unacceptable. For a 4-star hotel that is part of the Hilton Group, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and service. This is especially disappointing for a guest who participates in Hilton Honors and holds the highest membership status. After returning to the hotel, I asked the front desk if I could speak to the manager. Since it was already around 11:00 PM, I was told that this would be possible the next day. However, I never received any follow-up. When I checked out two days later, I raised the issue again with the Front Desk Manager. Unfortunately, there was very little interest shown and no meaningful comment regarding the incident. Overall, this experience reflected poor service management and a lack of guest care. In my opinion, this is not the level of service one would expect from Hilton.

I couldn't make my booking and tried to cancel a few days before and wasn't able to get a refund from the hotel for prepayment

Alejandro was excellent. From checkout in to checkout, he was cordial and always helpful.

My wife was only disappointed that there was no pool or hot tub on property.

Exceptional staff. Phenomenally comfortable beds, quiet rooms and very clean. Modern and bright you can't ask more from an airport hotel. Highly recommended.

I am not even at the hotel yet and it is already making me question my choice. The shuttle bus, I waited for more than half an hour in the cold. Other hotel shuttle bus (lower priced hotels I add) went by twice already. I then messaged the property who first gave me a bot then put me in touch with front desk who then put me in touch with someone else and asked me to call for hotel pick up. You are a hotel, at a major hub, with international flights. Asking your guests to call on international roaming is ridiculous. And if you are running a shuttle bus, run it like a normal shuttle bus and have it run as a regular service. An hour of my time wasted, in the cold. Thank you for wasting my time.

Room detail, location, privacy.

The rooms felt stuffy. Not sure if it was the ventilation, but even after adjusting the AC temp it still felt stuffy.
