Straight forward check in, private access to room without having to walk through the pub, no complaints stress free stay, defo recommend, great location

Quaint pub dating from around 1729 in the Gunsmith quarter of Birmingham. As I was waiting outside to check in, there was a walking group from a historical tour who passed by and the leader gave a commentary on the pub. Booked a triple room with en-suite which also had coffee making facilities. The pub will store your luggage for you. The only problem was that you cannot check in until 12 noon, and I needed to check in luggage before then as I had an event to attend and couldn’t take the luggage with me, so had to miss the first part of my event….Pub is about a18-20 minute walk from New Street station via various underpasses and near to Aston university campus. Once you have checked in, there are emergency contact numbers, the Wi-Fi code and a details of a local taxi firm on the back of a door, most of which would have been useful to have had prior to checking in! Friendly staff helped me with my luggage as there were quite a few steps to navigate and no lift. Didn’t get chance for a drink in the bar, but it’s full of character with lots of crockery on display!

Room was a bit cramped but beds were comfortable and had nice bathroom. Food in the pub was great value for money and very tasty with good variety. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Would recommend for short stays.

Helpful staff, clean quiet room, very good wouod use again.

Lovely hotel. Everything i needed in the room for my stay. I am on crutches at the moment and one of the staff helped me to my room with my bag. Had a small issue of a leak from my room ceiling but the staff handle it very quickly and gave me another room. Overall very happy with stay. Thank you.

A first class Budget stay in the historic gun quarter, great restoration of this circa 1800 pub with real home cooked meals and great prices, fed up with chain hotels, do this!!

Nice and clean, great value, good service, will stay again

A bit out of the way from public transport if visiting without a car, hallways reeked of cigarettes, stale beer and other unmentionables. Street light straight into the window with sheer curtains (thank god for eye masks). Shower looked unclean so we didn't use it.

I cant rate the Bull high enough homely cosy lovey staff and magement I highly recommend 👌 😉 the Bull heres to my next stay at the Bull cheers and happy new year to all the staff.
