Doonbank Cottage Bothy

The photos don’t do it justice! This place is amazing. The grounds it sits on are stunning and the bed and couch are really comfortable! Brilliant place to wind down and relax! We will be back. Our dogs loved the walk just outside the door. We even got offered hot scones on arrival! What more could you ask for?

If I had to be really picky a wee foot stool in the living room would be nice. But that’s really it.

Great location, Had everything, All amenities and more, views by the river fresh eggs and a friendly welcome and a special mention about the fresh baked scones with butter and Jam, They were honestly the best we have had! The area of Alloway is stunning beautiful houses and scenery We walked 25 miles in 2 days seeing the sights.

The bothy was great- Wish it had a toilet upstairs, However would not stop us staying again

Magical location, peaceful and relaxing by the blissful river. Very friendly welcome by Chris, who offered us fresh scones. Comfortable bed, spotless place. Beautiful bathroom with soft towels. Host made an effort by beautifully arranging small stones on the garden steps as a wish for great stay. Truly magical touch. Would definitely return.
