Rachel is lovely and she’s amazing at a job, place is maintained really well, clean and very welcoming. I quite like the designs around too, very vintage!!

The staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until we left.

I am used to bigger rooms so I was struggling for space

Do not book this property!!! The owner is very confrontational and rude! We pulled into the car park and the owner came out and told us we couldn’t park there! My Fiancée explained we had a booking and he said I don’t care you still can’t park there until 3pm. This would have been fine we would gavdd we come back but he got very confrontational telling my partner not to get stroppy!!! I didn’t want to stay there as he made us feel uncomfortable. He will not refund our money, he put a rude note on our car! Sent me an email saying he knew where we were stopping! Stay away from this place and I havdd Ed all the proof I need and I will get our money back! The reviews I read must have been from the previous host, not him

The owner was wearing a dirty food stained T shirt, was an arrogant bully with stupid rules, accused us of taking a pizza in to the room ( my wife got out of the car with a pizza box in her had then put it back in the car ) and told us to find somewhere else to stay, never offered a refund even though he told us to leave. I am considering taking legal action as he was in breach of contract by telling us to leave. Luckily we found another Hotel which was cheaper and more welcoming than Newton House. I would not send my worst enemy to this place.

Easy to find and near to activities

Not anything we didn’t like as such, my pillows were a bit hard for me and the toilet roll holder was low on the wall but nothing major that we didn’t like, overall perfect
