great Staff !!!

Staff very friendly and helpful our room was good value for the money we paid nice and quiet at night , we enjoyed the walk to the Peace hall but for some, we could be a bit too far

The Bedroom was a good size, very clean with a large comfortable bed, tea and coffee was provided, I was very disappointed with the bathroom the basin was opposite the radiator and showered at the side of the toilet, it was difficult to manoeuvre past the toilet into the shower. The food was fantastic

Kady, the lady who was serving behind the bar and showed us to our room was exceptional. She was friendly and very helpful. Food was excellent and very large portions for an evening meal. Very well decorated room.

The broken toilet seat and the tight squeeze in the very small bathroom. The noise the macerator on the toilet ( it is a septic tank)made every time water was run in the bathroom. We could hear people talking and not sure if this was the bar or in neighbouring rooms. Breakfast is not served until 9am and we had to leave before they started serving. It's not the easiest place to find and we would not recommend it for people with mobility problems due to the steep cobbled path down to it.

The receptionist is kind & helpful. Plenty of parking. Peaceful location, facing a stream & woodland.

The room is so very poky & the bathroom awful : the shower door opened the wrong way, so one has to climb round the toilet to get in or out - rather dangerous … The room was quite shabby & the decor bizarre; all the walls sparkly - but then that’s a question of taste … The pub had nothing vegetarian or gluten-free to offer, other than potatoes.

Lovely comfortable room. Food excellent with huge portions.
